Enders-Salk serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Enders-Salk is an open enrollment school for the English-Spanish dual-language program in School District 54.
Enders-Salk is honored to be an International Spanish Academy. The English-Spanish Dual Language Program allows students to learn in Spanish during social science and language arts classes.
Enders-Salk School has a very active Parent Teacher Association offering a myriad of activities and projects for the students at the school. The PTA provides students with hot lunch and treat days, birthday books, a fun fair, a field day, community service activities and much more. In addition, parents are always invited and encouraged to assist in the classrooms.
Staff at Enders-Salk offer many extracurricular activities and clubs for children including: ES News Crew, Safety Patrols, Garden Club, Chess Club, Girls on the Run, New Student Group, Fitness Club, Battle of the Books, Craft Club and more. Before- and after-school childcare is available at Enders-Salk through a partnership with the Schaumburg Park District’s KASPER program.
English-Spanish dual-language kindergarten classes began in 2000 at Enders-Salk School. The goal of this program is for students to become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural at the end of sixth grade.
A full continuum of special services is available to students in District 54. All children have access to early childhood programs, which are clustered geographically. Each of the elementary schools has gifted resource services, although eligible children can also attend the magnet school at Campanelli.
