Dear Enders Families –

For the past twelve years, I have had the pleasure to serve as principal of Enders-Salk Elementary School. I could not have imagined working with a stronger, more dedicated and passionate group of people. As I reflect on my time here at Enders, I have had the privilege of seeing this dedication and passion first hand. Together, we have created a culture that is child-centered, collaborative, data-driven and results oriented. The successes of our students are a direct result of the outstanding partnership forged between the staff and the Enders Community.

It is with a combination of sadness and pride that I announce to you that I will be stepping aside as the building principal of Enders-Salk at the conclusion of this school year. I have been appointed the new principal of MacArthur International Spanish Academy in District 54 and will begin work there as soon as the school year is completed.

I am excited to share with you that Carrie Azab, the principal of the Early Learning Center will be moving to Enders as the new principal. I will work diligently with Mrs. Azab to transition her to Enders and I will assist her in acclimating her to the students, staff and community. Mrs. Azab asked me to share this Letter to the Enders-Salk Community with you.

It has been a tremendous honor to get to know the many wonderful students, families and staff members who have called Enders home over these last twelve years. While I may be leaving Enders, I know that Enders will never leave me. Enders is a fantastic school and I know that it will continue to flourish. Thank you for continued support.

Sincerely,
Michael Henry
