Posted Friday, August 12th, 2011 by Mrs. MontalbanoDear Enders Community –
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Michael Henry and I am the new principal of Enders-Salk School.
I began my career as a fifth grade teacher in Prospect Heights. After four years of teaching, I moved to Schaumburg School District54 as assistant principal at Einstein and Hoover. I was appointed principal of Hale School two years later where I just completed my sixth year.
Personally, I have been married for 11 years. My wife and I have three children: Braeden (6), Skyar (4), and Preston(20 months).
I am excited to be joining the Enders Community and I look forward to working with each of you to make this a great year.
Michael Henry
Dear Enders Parents, Students, and Community,
I am thrilled to join the Enders-Salk staff as the Assistant Principal for this year, and want to take a minute to introduce myself. I began my career as a Synergistics (Tech Ed) teacher at the same school I attended for junior high in Plainfield, IL. While I truly enjoyed working with many of my former teachers, I still couldn’t call them by their first names! I also taught sixth grade Math and Language Arts before coming to District 54, where I was an 8th Grade Math teacher at Eisenhower Jr. High. Last year was my first year as an Assistant Principal at MacArthur School, where I will be splitting my time this year.
I live with my husband Chris and our dog Max in Elmhurst, and spend my free time reading, working on projects around the house, and scrapbooking. I am looking forward to a fun and successful year at Enders-Salk!
